Koh Tonsay - Koh Tonsay, Cambodia Travel Blog
We got a long tail boat over to Koh Tonsay from Kep for $5 each. The island is 4.5km off the coast from Kep so it only took about 20 minutes to get there. Koh Tonsay is also known as Rabbit Island as apparently the shape of the island looks like a rabbit! Koh Tonsay is 2 square km in size, there is one main beach 250m long, where there are five different sets of thatched beach huts for tourists, each with a little restaurant/bar.

Koh Tonsay
Koh Tonsay (Rabbit Island) is so named because locals say it resembles a rabbit, an example of what too much local brew can do to your imagination. If you like rusticity, come now before the island is changed forever by development. The main beach where the boats anchor is lined with coconut palms, hammocks and lazy chairs, a few dozen huts ($5 a night, shared facilities, $7 if you want a private bathroom).

Transient Nomadic Gypsy Ninjas: Koh Tonsay- Rabbit Island
Koh Tonsay is what islands in thailand used to be like about twenty years ago. There are no hotels, no roads, no atms, and very few travelers. You sleep in a simple bamboo hut on the beach. In the morning the sounds of animals wake you up, and in the evening the hum of generators lul you to sleep.
